How long does it take to get my private pilot helicopter license?

As you might expect, it depends on the individual.  The minimum hours required by the FAA is 40 hours.  However, students generally take between 50-70 hours to obtain a private helicopter pilots license.  The primary factor is the time devoted to flight training.

How much does it cost to get my private pilot helicopter license?

The cost to obtain your helicopter private pilots license will dependent on the individual.  The average student takes between 50-70 hours of training.  In general, the more time you can devote to flight training, the less time it takes overall.  This in turn, reduces your overall flight training cost.  The average cost is between $14,000-$17,000 to obtain a private pilots license for a helicopter.

Can I rent the helicopter after I get my private license?

Yes.  Apollo Helicopters will rent helicopters to appropriately rated pilots after a checkout on the specific helicopter to be rented.

What types of helicopters does Apollo use flight training?
